St. Katharine Drexel Dear Catholic Friend, "To support, defend, and advance the efforts of the Teaching Church." That is why H. Lymam Stebbins founded Catholics United for the Faith (CUF) in 1968. As a convert to the Catholic faith, he watched in horror as thousands of Catholics embraced modernist heresies and dissented from Humanae Vitae. He believed that the laity needed proper formation. He believed that the laity needed to learn how to practice the one, true faith. Only if the laity are properly formed and prayerfully practice the faith will they be able to effectively advance the truth. Pope John Paul II knighted Mr Stebbins a Commander in the Order of St. Gregory in 1988 because of his work with CUF. Mr. Stebbins died the same year. We carry on the mission entrusted to us by Mr. Stebbins by accomplishing the following:
